This year marks the 100th year for Ski to Sea.
Meet our team, The Smokin Salmon
Mark = Cross Country Ski
Jodie = Snowboard
Amber = Run
Peter = Road Bike
Mike and Jerad = Canoe
Steve = Mt Bike
Ray = Kayak
So... for the start of the race the cross country skier, snowboarder, runner and road biker have to leave Bellingham at 5:30 to make it up to the mountain before they close the road and for pre-race meetings.. Let me tell you it was early but from the looks of it we all have smiles on our faces.
One positive thing about 5:30am is the gorgeous sunrise.

Steve handing off to Ray... Well he was suppose to but 10 minutes before Steve came in they canceled the Kayak leg because the water was to rough.

Great Job Smokin Salmon we finished 32nd out of 75 for the Mixed Recreational and we all still have smiles on our faces.
Lets see what next year has in store for us!!!
